    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.co.uk/mbexec/msg/5538/wAZ.2ACIB/5136 Message Board Post: I am seeking information on my Uncle Herbert, one of 5 brothers (James, Andrew, Ernest, Herbert and Vincent) who fought in the 1914/18 war, all of whom survived but suffered for the rest of their lives through the injuries and trauma of life in the trenches. Herbert married Florence (do not know her surname) and eventually ended up living at 17 Earl Haig Place, Wheelers Lane, Birmingham, which was run by the Earl Haig Homes. Uncle Herbert and Aunt Flo had four sons between 1920 and 1928 (Herbert, Leslie, Dennis and Eric). Uncle Herbert's parents were James Thomas Gibson and Elizabeth (nee Clare) of Bishopsgate Street, Five Ways, Islington, Birmingham. I have no further inforamation other than the above and I am hoping that someone will be able to help me as I am trying to trace my family tree and Uncle Herbert is the one person I cannot trace! I did not know my Uncle Herbert as I was born in 1941 - I am the son of his brother Vincent. I hope to trace Uncle Herberts War Record to complete the 4 war records I have for his brothers. Unfortunately I do not know either the Regiment he served in or his regimental number, which is vital for me to obtain copies from Kew. I would be very grateful to hear from anyone who can assist me to find out about the life of my Uncle Herbert and Aunt Flo. I believe Aunt Flo died around 1965 possibly at the above Haig Home address. Thanks in anticipation Ken Gibson
