Very interesting! I wasn't aware Gilbert's line was represented in the project. I think this means then -- that Gilbert's line doesn't match the old Gideon Gibson line, nor does he match the 'Melungeon Gibson Lines' either -- that is fascinating since Buck Gibson shares an ancestor with old Gideon of South Carolina and not Gilbert in Louisa County. Gilbert appears to be the same one mentioned in the will of Gibby Gibson -- do you know if any of the Thomas Gibson descendants are represented in the DNA study? The NPE would have been before John so maybe his father George or his father Gilbert.
