Hi Elaine I don't know if it was me, but what I asked was does anyone know of Thomas G. Gibson who married Permelia "Amelia" Williams and had a daughter, Margaret born in Missouri. I don't know where Thomas or Amelia were from or when they married. Margaret is my husband's great-grandmother and this is all the info I have on them. Thank You Brigitte Indiana

I have Illinois Gibsons from Chicago. They came from Venango County Pennsylvania via County Donegal. They had a business in Chicago for repairing printing machines, Gibson Bros. The father was John Gibson, mother Martha (Gregg), they both came to Penn in 1842 then to Chicago around 1876. YES!!!! My husbands grandfather James Sherman Gibson was born,1914 in Illinois. (Galesburg, Knox, IL I think! At least thats where he is in the 1920 census.) The _/*only*/_ thing I can find on him is thru the 1920/1930 census. It says his parents are John C. Gibson (of WV) & Rachel Jeanette Campbell (of Galesburg, Il). I am assuming that her children were born in Galesburg also....because I have that she died there on January 22, 1946. Does this set off any bells???
