My thanks to all who posted. I did make it through, thanks to your kind direction! This is the first free trial I've done there without having to give my credit card. Pretty nice! I've yet to find the ancestors I'm looking for, but did find a few I'd given up on, so worth the trial. I subscribed years ago when Ancestry was pretty new. Amazingly, with the many records they've acquired, I still can't find some of these people, but like I said, found one that I never thought I would, at least in a couple of censuses. No, I'll never give up, will just keep plugging away. I appreciate the guidance, because of all of you I did find something! Susan
