I lived on Kwajalein, Marshall Islands for several years and have been to most of the islands. Can not imagine someone leaving the beautiful islands. During WWII however most of the islands were invaded by the Americans once occupied by the Japanese. My father used to fly each day to work on a small plane to an island Majuro. As you probably know that the islands are a US Missile Base. Saw many of them being launched as a young child. The Marshallese used to row boats over to our island, American occupied, and sell their goods.
