    3. Hello everybody, my name is Ilya. Although I do genealogical research for almost 50 years and published a book about it, this group is new to me. I've heard about it just recently and decided to join in hope to find answer to my question: when did ancestors of my grandchildren emigrate from Pfalz. According to the records from the Bistumsarchiv Speyer, the RIESER family lived in the village of Waldsee, Pfalz (now Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis district ), in the 18th century. Johann Valentin RIESER was born in 1782, married Eva Theresia Claus in 1810. From 1811 through 1835, they had 17 children. Researching in the USA, I found most of the members of this family in Missouri in the mid and late 1840s. However, I was unable to find when and how did these people emigrate from Pfalz and when and where did they enter the US. Searching New Orleans and other ports revealed dozens of RIESERs, but none of them "mine". I searched your web page to no avail. I will appreciate your expert advice and suggestions on what can I do to find emigration records for this family. Ilya Zeldes Fort Myers, Florida

    3. You might try Baltimore as a port for them. Mine came through there and as of yet there is nothing online regarding these passenger lists.
