I would check with your local library and they could explain how to use it. I had to do the same thing. I am a volunteer librarian at the Yakima Valley Genealogical Society and we have access to online services, but we do not have Ancestry. Some of the other librarians do though and they will get you into it on their password so that we can look for things. Hope you can access it at your house. It is so much better that way.
