    3. I have had the trial version on ancestry several times, so I have exhausted the census records there. They are very, very good, no doubt. It's great to be at home and do that kind of research, for free or for $30 a month. Now, I am thinking on foreign records, which means German on my mother's side. However, based on Marie's recent comments, I am now thinking on not using ancestry. Paul On 30 MFómh 2006, at 3:07 pm, Rujan2000@aol.com wrote: > I have been on Ancestry for many years. 3. Paul, You did not say where in Germany for your Mother's family. A very good place on the internet would be rootsweb message board for Saxony. Get yourself a good German dictionary learn the basic words for birth, marriage and death for your films at LDS you will need some basic's for the films. Remember not all villages are available on film and many records were destroyed during WWII. Also if your not familiar with www.familysearch.com for searching rudimentery names there is also a option for their library on the top of the page....and good hunting.
