Thomas, My husband ancestors include man who immigrated from Germany in 1727 and lived in Heidelberg Twp., York, PA. The family later moved to Fredrick, MD, about 1758. The family was Brethren, and there was a Brethren community established in MD. There is a Brethren listserv on Rootsweb, and I have a few resources to suggest if you would like to explore this possibility. Contact me directly.
