do you what port they came into? Have you tried the Steve Morse site? it's free http://stevemorse.org/ellis/cg.html his castlegarden one has a Katharina Kunz Wife 34 F 25 Sep 1852 Netherland Edwina but she's too old - you probably know the different variations better than I do and might have better luck. I didn't try any of the other ports, maybe New Orleans? Did you try that Baden site? http://www.auswanderer.lad-bw.de/ maybe you can find them that way. do you know if she had a brother or sister? did you check her obit? if she had a brother maybe his Civil War record might have that info? sometimes it's pretty hard. I'm looking for my relatives, Hornungs. They had one child in 1840 in KY and two in MO, but by 1850 the father was dead, or at least not on the census - and Jacob lists his partents as being Bavarian on a later census - so I have no idea who his father is, what his mother's maiden name is and where in Bavaria they are from. the mother and sister's name are both Margaret and there are tons of them around... Would someone be willing to look up my ggrandmother's entrance into this country. Did she come with her parents or alone and from what town in Germany. My ggrandmother Kate Kuntz's death certificate in St louis Mo. states she was born Oct. 21, 1841 in Odekoven Rhineland Prussia Her parents Frederick Kuntz father and Katherine Hefell Mother. I have no idea when she came to this country but it has to be before June !865 when she married my GGrandfather in St Louis, Mo. Has anyone access to records they could search for this information? --------------------------------- All-new Yahoo! Mail - Fire up a more powerful email and get things done faster.
