Hi All, I am researching Ferdinand Frederick FREI (I think it was changed to Fraei when he was married in New Zealand). He was born 11 November 1854 in Baden on Rhine, am unsure of the place, he travelled to America in his mid teens, then to Australia and then settled in New Zealand. Ferdinand Fraei is my great great grandfather on my mothers side. Ferdinands parents were Jacob Frei and Mary Margaret Frei (do not know her maiden name). He had at least 1 sister called . If anyone has any connections to the Frei's would love to hear from them. I am after information on shipping lists on ships that left Germany from the time that Ferdinand was perhaps 12 years on. He left by himself so I suppose 12 is a little young, but I just wanted to capture as much info as I could. I live in Brisbane Australia and am only fairly new at this researching. I work full time so I try and glean as much info as I can from the internet and then go to the LDS's when I have time which I really dont have a lot of. I am planning a trip to to Europe in 2009 (seems a long way off doesnt it) to do some more family research. Hope someone can help Regards Jeanette Seeds
