I checked, and did not find your spelling, so you might have to go there and try alternate spellings of the name. It's working for me, now. It wasn't earlier. Could be a problem due to all the flooding and rain they have been having. You can just do a Google search for the Texas Seaport Museum, Galveston, Texas, and look through there until you find the Immigration Database. A while back, you had to have a password, but, something has not been working for a while, and you no longer have to do that. Also, you can do a search for Galveston, Texas genealogy and find it that way. This is how I found it. If your ancestor came in someplace else first, they will not be listed, according to the website. Only those who came in first through Galveston. My great-grandfather came in to NY first, then to New Orleans and finally Galveston, so he would not be listed. However, there should be a marriage record there somewhere as he met his wife and married there. But, his wife and her family came in there first, and I haven't found them. As I understand it, not all the records are there, some are, perhaps in the Rosenburg Library, or other places, and some are just missing. I think I did find my great-grandfather's mother there as she came over later. An "i" was left off her name, but it does not give a date when she came. Her name was Johanna Conitz, but her name was listed as Johanne Contz. So, you might try using just the first few letters of the name (that's what I did), or try misspelling it and see what you come up with. I'll have to search more. Happy searching.
