Hi Jerrold; I may have found them (Johann, Marie, Wilhelm & Louisa) in Ancestry's New York Passenger list for 1881. William's age is several years off but I've never found a ship's list that got the children's ages right. The same info for Johann was on the Castle Garden site. I also found someone who is undoubtedly your William in the WWI Draft Registrations for IA. However, he gave his birth as 10 Sep 1881 vice 10 Sep 1874.
