10-08-06 Hi Ursula, I do not know the name of the ship. I know that he married Anna Gruber also from S. Bavaria on July 31, 1854 at St. Michael's in Buffalo, NY . They had one child Mary there and then moved to Clarion, PA.where they had more children. Nothing in newspapers, obits have their town, village or city. Martin Meisinger probably a cousin was a witness to their wedding. He also lived eventually in Clarion.I have a copy of their naturalization papers and Martin's passenger list. There is nothing on them except Germany and Bavaria. The National Archives searched twice and found nothing. Maybe they left from Hamburg. I am not near an LDS library. I have been looking for their place of origin for over 30 years. I noticed that their are records of the Buffalo Catholic Churches but I do not know how to access them. Can't research any further back than 1814 for Johann Meisinger. Fr. Sam's in Buffalo said that it did list Johann's parents as Joseph and Catherine Schmidtbauer Meisinger. He didn't have a record of Mary's baptism Thank you for your email. Della M. Meisinger >From: "Ursula B.
