Hello, I have traced my ggf back into Western Germany but unable to find where and on what ship he came to USA. Diederich Griebel to USA in 1852 and settled in Galena, Ill. Can anyone help?? Thank You. R. Grable.

I was able to find my own ggrandfather (who immigrated from Western Germany also in 1852) on Ancestry.com Passenger Lists Record. Difficult to find since his name was spelled incorrectly.
