Most every school has transfer students in Germany and they have computors and need money. They should be willing to help recieve and remail your letters,e-mail, or send you stamps. Course I just hand my letter to the postmaster and it is taken care of. Too, most every military person in Germany has a computor. And I find the US embasy is sometimes helpful. Germans themselves are a bit leary of Americans What with the spying that is going on, I cannot blame them. But if one arranges the inquiry so as to give the reciever a feeling of being helpfully useful, That is, it is best to be up front and admit that one needs their help, they will respond. But when I was a transfer student and doing some translating in Europe and wanted to get hold of someone in the states, I put my tax dollars to use and went straight to the Embasy.Ralph A Bauer Bar5@bright.net
