    3. I am searching for the location of the original painting of "The Charlotte & Louise." Who has it? I would also like to know the name of the painter. She is described as follows: 2 full-rigged masts, oak Husum, built in Schleswig-Holstein 10 May 1825 (Bielbrief; Document of Completion, J.F.W. Iken & Co., Employers and Ship Owners, Bremen [Merchant Houses], D.H. Watjen & Company.) 84’ = length over the stems 19' = length of keep 225 = tons / tonnage capacity Captain Hermann Wessels (1925-35) Number of men in the crow = 10 (enrolled on 19 May 1831) 21 May 1831 departure date for voyage to NYC Number of passengers on the voyage to America = 80 1825-1846 sailed under the Bremen flag Information courtesy of Dr. Adolf Hofmeister, Staats Archiv Bremen.
