    3. I am researching my German roots. I have reached my roadblock at my great-great- grandparents. Can anyone help me find immigration data to Canada or data from Germany. Here are the details I have so far: I have some details on my great-great grandparents: They are: Frederick Shuscoskey / Schizkoske (two different spellings) Born 1823 Immigrated 1861 Strasbourg Germany? Died 1878 or 1879? Birth Place: ? Germany / Prussia Occupation: Farmer Settled in Wilberforce, Ontario, Canada buried? may have worked initially in Letterkenny, Ontario? Wife - Caroline Feldt / Feld / Field Born 25 Dec 1822 or 1825 Immigrated 1861? Died - 3 Feb 1909 Settled in Wilberforce, Ontario, Canada buried? Born Shusal Germany Their son; my Great Grandfather was: Frederick Schizkoske / Schiskofsky (different spellings) Born 3 Sept 1858 or 1860 Died 20 Feb 1928 Born: Strasbourg Germany (Prussia) Immigrated in 1862? Occupation: Blacksmith / Farmer Settled in Wilberforce Ontario Canada Buried in Grace Lutheran Church Locksley Ontario Canada This is all I have so far, I have just started my research and will appreciate any information you all have Mark Schizkoske

I am not sure if you are interested,Mr. Peter Hessel has wrote a book called"Destination Ottawa Valley"He tells of the German settlers that came to that area Wilberforce area was part of the German settlement also another book of the area is "Harvest of Stone"by Brenda Lee-Whiting they both have a lot of information of the early settlers of the Ottawa Valley.I think you can get them on Amazon.there is also a web site go to Goggle & type in Peter Hessel name & it should come up .
