    3. Hi List, I have found the immigration record for the family I am looking for and would like to ask a newbie question, forgive me. I am researching the Morabe (Morafe, or Macabe) family. 4 children who immigrated with their widowed mother from Bremen, arriving aboard the Wittekind in New York the 28th of April 1894. The mother was Anna Morabe whose name was written Morafe (?) in the ships passenger list and whose name was pronounced similarly to Macabee in German. I have already looked at images from ancestry of the ship, its passenger list, and the microfilm numbers. The research guide I looked at said that many records from Bremen were destroyed and/or that they were incomplete. What is best next research step in Germany? From naturalization papers I have found that they may have come from Falkenburg, Beyern, Bavaria. The deceased father was Carl (Karl) Morabe, the wife Anna Biltner (maiden name) was born 30 August 1861 and was 32 when she arrived in New York. Any suggestions will be welcome, Thank You for your patience and any assistance with this family. bartlette in California
