Searching for My G.Grandparents The BERNHARD HAACK was born on 01 Nov. 1840 , and wife BERTHA A. DEVONSKE(?) was born on 05 Feb. 1841 , and I do not know the exact town that They were born at., and I do not know what Ev. Church that They belonged to. however Koeslin Pommern is the town that They came from in the records of the GTA volumes . However it may be that is the town that They applied for an emigration permit. They had 3 children born in Pommern , FRANZISKA born about 1866 , ADOLPH born about 1869 , and RICHARD born in 1871 . [email protected] When They immigrated in the year 1872 , the records of the ship "Christel " shows that They came from the town of Koeslin/Koszalin Pommern , and BERNHARD is shown as being a hunter .

Where did the Haack family settle when they immigrated? We have the name Schlink that married into the HAack family. I looked up our Haack family. Bertha Schlink was married to Frank Haack born in Shakopee. His father was Arnold born 1881 in Shakopee. His father was Frank born in Wisconsin. Frank's father was John and Caroline . John born abt 1835 in Bavaria. Even found ship records dated Oct 7 1857 on the Doctor Barth there was a large family immigrating at the same time all listed from Bayern. John was 22 and apparently not married. The immigrants were headed for Wisconsin, so relatively sure they were the right family. So they may or may not be related. How common is the Haack name?
