Wolf, sorry, I've been out of town and just got back, What is the situation on developing this database? Barb [email protected]
Hi Barb, Barbara Ulrich wrote: > sorry, I've been out of town and just got back, > What is the situation on developing this database? Hmm, that's a good question.. Actually, not too much yet.. Phil set up an email address for us and promised to do some organizing. But I didn't hear from him for a while and therefore have no idea where we stand.. I have been busy with the websites and sometimes it's just getting too much to be on top of everything.. Thanks for asking and have a nice evening, Wolf
Good afternoon all (Well it's afternoon in Australia anyway) Sorry for the delay. I've been a bit busy with some family things. Reading an email sent to Wolf regarding whether the list will be just saxony surnames, should we look at using [email protected] if it is available or some other acceptable address? Let me know your thoughts. There was also a question of which spreadsheet to use but I think that has been resolved by putting the surname into the most appropriate sheet e.g. if there is just the surname and email address supplied then sheet one can be used. I am not sure if that causes problems when the spreadsheets are merged so Karen can you let us know please. If these two items can be answered quickly then I should be able to distribute the emails tonight. Hi Phil, nice to hear from, of course your private things come first and there is never a time limit on the things we do.. Let me know your thoughts. Ok, this probably makes more sense.. Actually, the name makes no difference, but it can be misleading.. > There was also a question of which spreadsheet to use but I think that > has been resolved by putting the surname into the most appropriate sheet > e.g. if there is just the surname and email address supplied then sheet > one can be used. I just noticed, that the email address is missing on sheet 2 , this could go in the first or second column. Or we could forget about the simple template completely and just use sheet 2.. > If these two items can be answered quickly then I should be able to > distribute the emails tonight. I would suggest, that we make a test run first with only a few names. This way we might find better ways or how to improve things.. Talk to you later, Wolf
