I Have a date! I have a copy of Heinrich Fuhrmeister's Declaration of Intent to Naturalize. On this document he says he landed in Galveston, Texas on or about 4th of December 1854. No ship name though :( At least it is something. What I was told was wrong he didn't enter at Pittsburg. What sources would have these passenger lists? Here is what I have checked so far; Ancestry.com they have a group of passenger lists that should cover the year and port that I need but it skips 1853,54,55,and 56. This is also a film that is available through the FHL but since it is from the same NARA information that ancestry has I don't think the list I need would be on there. I am not sure if the Texas Seaport Museum has recovered from the last Hurricane which devastated Galveston. Is there any other source for the port of Galveston TX for December 1854?
