    3. I found the same message and it has been there for months, but if you click on "Imigration Database" on the left side it takes you to a page that tells about Galveston Immigration Database. On that page click on the highlighted "Online" and it take you to the page where you can enter a persons name, etc. or you can click on the following URL which will take you straight to that page. http://ghf.destinationnext.com/immigration/Search.aspx I input Schmidt and clicked submit and 4 page of different spelling of Schmidt came up at the bottom of the page. The only problem I had is Vessel's. Clicking the pulldown arrow gave name of ship a couple days ago, but today that is not working for me??? They provide a link where you can ask for a lookup for a fee. 3. Russell Do You know when the Galveston seaport opened for immigrants ?. I have a G.G.Grandfather Daniel Oster and Family that arrived about 1800 to 1830 , and I have never been able to find the place or time that They arrived. I would guess that They left from Le Havre , France however there does not seem to be any records of departure from Le Havre, France Karl Roussin ----- Original Message ----- From: "Russell Whitaker" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, March 10, 2010 9:37 AM Subject: Re: [G-P-L] Texas seaport museum I found the same message and it has been there for months, but if you click on "Imigration Database" on the left side it takes you to a page that tells about Galveston Immigration Database.
