    3. Krehbiel is a fairly common name in Southern Germany and Switzerland with a number of spelling variants. On www.stevemorse.org or ancestry.com you can search by parts of the name, so I would try Kreb* and Krehb* with the "exact search" box checked on Ancestry [The asterisk is a wild card that tells the computer to look for anything that begins with that letter combination], and using "begins with" on stevemorse.org [Then you don't need to use wild card symbol] . The second syllable is also often spelled "bühl", which is phonetically very close to "biel". Good luck!
