Charlotte, there are quite a few sites on the Internet dealing with Hessian soldiers in America all you need to do is enter "Hessians" or "Hessian Soldiers" into Google and you'll have hours if not days to comb through the information. The first name "Parker" is not a German name but perhaps British. BTW the place is called Hesse-Cassel or Hesse-Kassel.
