    3. Ursula How so you find the ship passenger lists? Our Holsomback's arrived in Carolina Colony through the port of Charlestown. The first immigrants arrived in Carolina Colony and received a land grant in the North section of Carolina Colony in 1763 and the next land grant was given in 1772 in the South section of Carolina Colony. We are pretty sure that they were part of the Palatine Germans that got stranded in England and were finally given passage to Charlestown. The 1772 folks probably came after the initial immigration of the Palatines from England. So I don't know how to find out where to find the ship lists to find out if my hypothesis is correct. Any help would be gratefully accepted. We have a research site on MyFamily.com with over 200 researchers of the family name and they would be ecstatic if I were able to find our original immigrants and where they lived in the Germanic countries. Hello Alexander, there is really no way to help you as we only have access to passenger ship lists for immigrants to the US and Canada. The only way I could assist if you could give me the exact year of DEPARTURE from Germany. Knowing the date of departure would then allow me to check the Hamburg Passenger Lists to Brazil other than that there is now way to check since ships to Brazil did not stop in New York but sailed directly from Hamburg to Brazil. Sorry for not being able to help you. You may need to check the arrivals in Brazil. Best of luck to you. Ursula _________________________________________________________________ Memories are like threads of gold, they never tarnish or grow old ----- Original Message ----- Hello, I am looking for the passenger list for the Strube family, which is not easy. What I know is that Franz Strube and Marta Marie Strube (previously Marta Marie Otto) migrated with their children. The one I know about is Otto Strube (born in may of 1914) to Brazil, between 1923 and 1926, as far as I know. They were all born in Neundorf (today a district of Stassfurt, Saxony-Anhalt, Kreis Bernburg). So it would be interesting to have any idea of which ship they went with, and when. Would be really helpful. -- [] dr.
