His name was LOUIS RENZE (as it appeared on his Death Notice here in South Africa). The Death Notice also says he was born in Germany and was a German National. He died in 1909 and was between 78 and 84 years of age, which places his birth at about 1829. There is a family story that says when he came to South Africa pre-1900, he changed the family name to RENZE. There are many derivatives over the years that says either from RENTZE or RENTZ. I know he is listed on the 1878 Voters Roll in South Africa. That's about all I know about him Could someone possibly assist me in this regard?
