    3. Julia and others whose posts are not forwarded: I was so frustrated by having my posts rejected by Mailer Demon that I wrote to Comcast for help in figuring it out. The text below is Comcast's reply to my plea for help: ursulaba wrote: Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 550 5.7.1 germany-passenger-lists@rootsweb.com... Rejected: 76.96.30.80 listed at dnsbl.sorbs.net -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is about rootsweb.com making a poor choice of blocklists to use. SORBS has quite a few lists, and one of them, spam.dnsbl.sorbs.net, lists any IP address that has *ever* sent a spam to SORBS. All big outfits have servers on that list; they're also blocking email from AOL and Gmail, for example. There's nothing Comcast can do about it, all big outfits leak spam, and they're going to be listed by spam.dnsbl.sorbs.net. Note that this isn't about SORBS in general, the recommended aggregate list dnsbl.sorbs.net doesn't include the spam.dnsbl.sorbs.net list. They had to go out of their way to shoot themselves in the foot by specifically querying the spam.dnsbl.sorbs.net. .... ==================== I hope this explains why some of the posts sent to G-P-L are rejected.
