Hello: Judy, would you by any chance be related to the Dinkles of Rockingham/Augusta Cos., VA? One of my brick walls is Lucretia Dinkle (1825 =) probably died 1850. She married Richard Gibson in 1846. Per 1850 census they had two children, Mary Frances and "Idusa". No record of Idusa, but Mary Frances lived to marry and have children. Any thoughts on this? Thank you, Lillian Gibson (412) 621-8992
We descend from Jacob Dunkle who came to AMerica in the early 1700 and settled in Pennsylvania.. In the late 1800s Oliver Rhine Dunkle and his family moved to Boston, Ma after living in New Jersey . I know nothing of any branch of the family that went to Virginia-- although it could be possible-- I have seen Dunkle spelled many different ways-- the German way is Dunkel. Sorry I am of no help to you.
