If you are unable to get to Salt Lake City to do research, I would recommend ordering foreign films. I have ordered many German films, some are now on permanent loan at my local FHC. The church records I have dealt with told you which section you were in. So to start with I had the basic- looking in the birth/baptized section - then find my surname. There was a learning curve to figure everything else out, and I had some help from others. As the book says If I can do it (read German) You can too. Plus now I can go back to the films whenever I want. My only question now is do I order the film or wait for it to be put on line at familysearch.org.
