Hello, Somehow neither Judie's initial answer nor Julia's subsequent question makes any sense; The FHC is an arm of the FHC in Salt Lake City and as far as I know they have always been connected online....in short, a visit to your local FHC is virtually the same thing as being at the FHC in Salt Lake City except for the physical aspect of not being able to open a drawer and pull out a microfilm of a particular church or a book etc. Thus, the question whether "they" - and by that I assume you mean the FHC - use the "library" version or a "full" version is a moot point. They ARE Ancestry! Perhaps you're confusing the "local public library version" with the "FHC version". As was discussed in an earlier thread, some Public Libraries have an agreement with Ancestry that allows its patrons the same access - for free - as an individual would have by subscription. Until recently the only FHCs except SL that had ANcestry wee the Regional FHC-- in the past couple of weeks ANcestry has been made available to all FHC-- except aparently not all Stake FH Libraries have it available. I am not sure why this was except that the FH people made special arrangements with various Sites. for instance, in exchange for sending the digital equipment to Godfrey Library in Middletown Ct for their use, Godfrey has made their own line stuff (basic) available at all FHC.
