Barbara: I have no information that I can link to my BOLLMAN(N) line earlier than 1834 and do not have any info other than posted on location. If you have any BOLLMANN data from 1830-1860 I might be interested to see if I can link to my ancestor or a couple more BOLLAMNN folks also in the Highland Illinois area 1860-1900. I am trying to find Passenger records on them to establish arrival times other than 1850-1870. All my location data is unfortunately suspect except the location of "Prussia" is consistent. He would be talking of 1850s Prussia. I do not know if the Saar area was part of Prussia or not in 1830s-50s. My 8th gt.grandparents were Joachim and Katharina BOLLMANN, who lived there in the 17th century. Their daughter, Magadalena BOLLMANN, married Johannes GROß on 2 Feb 1653 in Ottweiler in the Saar. I found that info in the Lutheran Churchbook in Ottweiler. I don't know of any of my BOLLMANNs having come to America. Magadalena and Johannes' gt.gt.grandson, Jakob Daniel SCHERRER, came into Philadelphia in 1752. He ended up in North Carolina.
