    3. Is there anyone on the group who is pretty good at judging an old pic by the clothes worn and detecting age ranges? I have an old family pic we are not certain who is in the picture. It is a studio pic of only 2 women. Both are wearing a lace like top and the one is wearing a very large hat with a lot of ruffels and lace looking material. Both women have their hair pinned up.I am thinking one may be my 2nd great grandmother. Thanks, Rick rwe38133@yahoo.com

    3. Hi Rick, so this photo was most likely taken in Germany, right? If so, please provide it to my email address (as to be found within the header of this post) and I'll have a look to give it a try. 3. No, most likely I would say it is probably from LaSalle Co., IL.Someone suggested posting it to Ancestorville on FaceBook, which I just posted there. Thanks for attempting to assist. I really appreciate it. --- On Mon, 3/14/11, Vera Nagel <vpanews@t-online.de> wrote: From: Vera Nagel <vpanews@t-online.de> Subject: Re: [G-P-L] GERMANY-PASSENGER-LISTS old photo To: germany-passenger-lists@rootsweb.com Date: Monday, March 14, 2011, 2:56 AM Hi Rick, so this photo was most likely taken in Germany, right? 3. If you mean help dating a photo in general, there are quite a few websites that do just that. Just search and read. If you mean help dating a photo from Germany, then that's probably too specialized for most of the sites I've seen. You'd then need to ask people with knowledge of German history, which is why I presume you came here. Did you know that you can upload images at the forum at the homepage? Then members can examine the photo and offer tips. Get there through the links at the bottom of this message... --- On Mon, 3/14/11, rwe <rwe38133@yahoo.com> wrote: ...an old family pic
