    3. Hello Kerry, I remember doing this search before; there are oodles of FUHRMEISTERs who immigrated to the US both male and female but I found only one HEINRICH FUHRMEISTER b. abt 1852 who sailed from Hamburg to Rio de Janeiro on 19 Aug 1887; he was a merchant and a resident of Porto Alegre, Brazil; The only Fuhrmeister I found to have arrived in Galveston was Wilhelmine FUHRMEISTER, 24, who arrived on 11 Dec 1868 on the Bark Fortuna. Unfortunately, the Galveston online passenger lists don't allow searches by arrival date only by name. Sorry I could'nt be of more help. Best wishes, Ursula from Michigan. ____________________________________________________ There will come a time, when you'll have no more time. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kerry Fuhrmeister" <ruby71975@msn.com> To: germany-passenger-lists@rootsweb.com Sent: Thursday, January 20, 2011 7:36:03 PM Subject: [G-P-L] Hello GPL!! passenger list questions Hello, I have not posted for awhile and thought I would ask this question to all of you because it is about passenger lists and hey thats what you do here. OK...1) I need to know if anyone can tell me what ship came into Galveston on the 4th of December 1854? I have looked at the Texas seapots website and ordered a microfishe of the Balah book of passanger list, I have looked on ancestry. HELP HELP! I know that there is a chance that I wont find a passenger list but I am hopeful. I am looking for Heinrich Fuhrmeister from Prussia, everything I have indicates he was traveling alone. I was told that there are points of departure that were most common for differant regions of Germany, if this is so what port would be most common for a family leaving Stettin, Germany in 1860? Thank you for any help, if anyone would like me to look on the Microfishe for names I would be more than happy to do so. It is the Albert Balah book of ships coming into Galvestion. 3. Ursula, Thank you for looking again, I knew that I had asked that question in the past but things change so much on the net. I think that the woman you found may be a sister but I am not sure. The closest person to my guy is a Heinrich Fiemiester who came into Galveston in 1852 on the ship Francisca. I have ordered a film which I am hoping has another part of his Naturaliztion documents in it. Maybe it will say a ship name...keeping my fingers crossed!
