Destination is United States of America, Port of Arrival is New York and arrival state is New York. The ship name is Ems. On this ship with him is Wilhelm Ullrich, born about 1847, age 38; Ottilie Ullrich born about 1848, age 37; Ida Ullrich born about 1881, age 4; and Lina, age 9/12 born about 1884. Microfilm Serial M237; Microfilm Roll M237-485; List No. 430. If this is correct let me know. I can send a pdf file of this page. Cleaning out old e-m's, I found this from 09 from the man who researched in Germany for us.  I googled the name and came up with a few hits, the same could be done for Brazil: "I was in "Auswanderermuseum" (Museum in memory of the emigrants) in Bremerhavenin May this year. This was very interesting. This museum illustrate clearly the hardships of the emigrants from boarding to the arrival in New York from 18th to 20th century. You could see their few goods they took with, and how they slept under deck of the ships, and how and what they ate. It was a hard life. On  Oct 13I came back from a trip to Brazil. There I visited the counterpart , a museum of immigrants that came from Germany to South of Brazil in 1825." Betty FL

    3. It is very possible that the person's email address that sent the spam/advertisement, has no idea this was sent. Most of the List on Rootsweb have been having this problem for a long time. It appears that the person's email address book/email addy has been hi-jacked. Hopefully someone who might have received the same mail is able or will try to make contact with the person. Person in question needs to change their password ASAP! Or it will be repeated over & over. Unfortunately, this happens constantly. What is most important is that you don't click on the links! I'm not sure how this one got through, but I do know that the person who sent it is aware of the policy. Depending on whether you have the NY Arrival list, you will find Carl Raduege and family on page 5 of 7, right at the very top. If you are searching the Hamburg Departure list, it will take a while for me to check the list to tell you which page they're on. Ursula, Do you have access or a URL for looking up ships with Palatine Immigrants into Carolina Colony with port of entry New Bern, North Carolina or Charlestown, South Carolina in 1745 through 1772. Of course the Carolina Colony was just that =; no North or South Carolina and the land grants given to them were by the Governor General for the Crown of England. Any help would be appreciated, it doesn't matter the names involved just a list of those on the ships arriving there. I do not need any ship arrivals in ports above the Mason-Dixon line.     3. Starr, I know you have been clinging to this 1854 application date for immigration shown in the Wuerttemberg Immigration Index, however, what if he applied but did not emigrate until 1856? Ship "Rattler" departing from Havre arriving in New York on 15 August 1856: Euchener, Johann 54, Wuerttemberg Euchener, Johann 16, Wuerttemberg Ancestry has this pair indexed under "Euchsnor". This would be a match as provided by Myra. As G G G G grandfather's family tree from Germany enumerates Johannes's birth/Christening as 6 Jan., 1838, Father Jacob born 1811 and emigration from the Church books in Stuttgart archives as applied in 1854 many cross finds do relate to a cousin John B/C 14 April, 1840 father Johannes born 1802 and the brother of Jacob 1811. John 1840 emigration date has yet to be determined but Father John arrived seperate and before mother Barbara and daughter Maria Agnes all in the year 1856. John 1840 remained in New York through 1880 and Married Wilhelmina having three children. Where as John 1838 location from 1854 to 1869 has not been confirmed: Family note: Wife Mary (Stauffer) and sister Emma 1860 census Kalamazoo Mi. Family note: Daughter Mary born 1865 (apx) and son John F. born 12/1866 Tazewell County Il. Land deed: 215 acres to John Sr. 1869 Iroquois County, Illinois Death certificate 1920 Iroquois County Illinois Family notes and certificates (?) for 7 additional children Marriage certificate for Mary Euchner (sister of John 1838 and born 1850) to Justus Faupel 1870 Peoria Illinois and death notice 1877 Iroquois, Il.
