    1. [G-P-L] Heine
    2. Kim and Brian Wright
    3. Hello Everyone, Thought I would give this a shot. I found Stanislaus Heine's Intent to Natural and Naturalization Papers at the Milwaukee Co. Historical Library (WI). It shows he was native to Prussia, 42 years old, born 1838, emigrated May 1865 to NY, filed Nov 1868 and 1880, witnesses were Alex Adamski and Richard Schrubb. I have been told that Stanislaus was born in Germany on April 28, 1839 to Frank & Hedwig Heine, but I have not been able to verify this. According to the 1870, 1880, 1890, and 1895 census', Stanislaus was a bricklayer(mason), born Poland and living in the 1st ward @ 905 Warren St. Milwaukee, WI. I have found him and his wife Katherine buried at Forest Home Cemetery in Milwaukee, WI. But I have never been able to find the ship list for Stanislaus Heine. If anyone can help, email me. Thanks, Kim Wright

    2. Hi Darlene: I'm thinking we may have a connection. My ears (eyes?) perked up when you mentioned the SINN name (because I also have that name in my family) and now the connection to north of Stuttgart. I visited the area last year (Unterheimbach to be exact), and have some information regarding the MOLL, KAIM, HÜBNER, MUGLER, SINN, SCHÄUFLER, UTZ, and LEDERER connection (who are all interrelated). These are all names of the people who built the Unterheimbach Lutheran Church in 1757. I show a Katharine Sophie SINN married to a Philipp Wilhelm MOLL around 1865 in the Neckar region of Württemberg. Let me hear from you if you are interested. 3. Frank, can you give us the exact title and the author? I couldn't find it at Barnes & Noble nor at Amazon.com. Is the title simply "Prussia" with no sub-title? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Frank Brehm" <nikomahs@bellsouth.net> To: <germany-passenger-lists@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, September 10, 2006 12:34 PM Subject: Re: [G-P-L] Prussia >B There is a small book called of all things Prussia. 3. Hello Gayle, Just a word of caution: whenever the data of a birth is given with "about 1800" or whatever, you can be sure that the information was not taken from a church record, regardless whether you've found it at the LDS or somewhere else. Even in the 1700s, German records give the exact day/month/year of birth, marriage or death. Now then, regarding your ancestor in LA, I did a little snooping around and came up with the following: According to the 1860 census of Jefferson, Jefferson Co., LA, "blank" Correje, age 27, wife of John Correje, 34, b. France, butcher, she was born in Baden! If you contact me personally, I' send you a snapshot of the census page and you'll see why her first name was omitted from the census index. Also appearing on the 1860 census is the large family of 'M Shumer', all of whom are born in Baden, except 'Sahal', the youngest child, age 12, who was born in LA. If this family was related to Elisabeth then this would mean that the family arrived prior to 1850. What I don't understand is why the Schumers you've found arriving in 1853 would have booked a passage to NY when they were intending on settling in New Orleans. Makes no sense to me. Maybe they took another boat from New York to New Orleans. According to the 1870 census, John Courrage, 46, is now married to 'Bauline', age 36, b. in LA. They have no other children other than Bertram (17) and Simon (13). I've found Bertram in 1880 married to 'Adele' (age 16) but what happened to Simon? Did he move away? 2. Billie, you could try the Galveston port database, but not sure what years they have. http://tsm.pearland.com Susan In a message dated 9/12/06 5:18:35 AM, bbrem@hot.rr.com writes: > > I am searching for immigration  of  Heinrich Kruse, born 17 Dec 1858. > Died > 21 October 1903 > > > > 1900 US census Texas, McLennan Co. states he came to US in 1881 from > Prussia. > > >

    3. Maria Gehling came in bet. 1882 - 1889 was born 17 May 1860 in Ahaus Germany came with her brother Bernard Gehling. I no nothing else about Heinrich Kruse. I have told you everything the family knows. He died in 1903 so the only information I have been able to gather came from the 1900 census of McLennan County, Texas. His youngest daughter was born 2 months before he died so she did not remember much about him and there was no one else to ask. His cert. of naturalization just says Germany and I have been unable to locate the declaration of intent. I can not find the marriage license which should be somewhere in Ohio around Cincinnati. He was Protestant she was Catholic.
