    3. Several years ago when I began my search I found the application for naturalization records for some of my family at the UW-Oshkosh Area Research Center. A couple of the records indicated the Port of Milwaukee and the Port of Detroit. I went to the Appleton FHC and began to search the Hamburg Ship list indexes for the those years. After I ordered the films I was very surprised to find that these individuals and their families had landed at the Port of Quebec. If I remember correctly that was the only way I could find out exactly when my relatives came and on which ship. You need that information to order the film of the Quebec passenger lists from the Historical Society. I do not believe that Canada has an index for the Quebec lists. Perhaps others have had a different experience.
