Quite often in the brief biographies of businessmen and movers & shakers of Milwaukee History, they list the cities from which people immigrated to Milwaukee. As I have read the 27 volumes of Milwaukee history to date I have written down every surname found, given names or initials given and the page I found on in each volume. As you stated that they were members of the Roman Catholic faith I won't check the burial records at historic Forest Home Cemetery of Milwaukee unless you want me to. Chances are they are buried in one of the cemeteries of that faith in the Milwaukee area, probably Calvary. Few Roman Catholics and few Lutherans were buried here as they had their own cemeteries: Calvary and Union respectively back in the early years. I do know, though, that we have a few DUERRs buried at the cemetery so, guess I will check it out. Will let you know what I find except that you will have to wait a couple of weeks as I have cut back volunteering there from every Friday to every other Firday due to the fact that after helping over 2,500 people in two years it seems I am running out of "requesters." Used to get 40 to 60 requests a week and now am lucky if it get five. Bob of Brookfield<< Need a new email address that people can remember Check out the new EudoraMail at http://www.eudoramail.com

    3. Hello, Bob of Brookfield! Thank you for your response and any assistance that you can give me will be greatly appreciated! As for the cemetery records, I've checked those out. Most were buried at Calvary and a couple at Holy Cross. I've also checked the church records at Hale's Corner for Old St. Mary's. There are still a couple of church records that I would like to locate. One is for a St. Joseph Church in Wauwatosa (?) where the death/burial record for Walpurga (Mary) Birler 17/20 July 1917 may be. The other is St. Boniface church records for the death/ burial of Joseph Birler on 23/25 July 1912. Again, thank you SO MUCH for your time.
