The earliest PATZER I have is my GGgrandfather, Johann. He was born about October 1773, probably in East Prussia, and died 13 July 1856, probably in Obodowo, Flatow, E.Prussia. His wife [not likely his first since he was 69 and she 25 when they married] was Louisa ZIELKE, born 17 June 1818, in Waldau, Prussia, to Andreas ZIELKE and Elizabeth SCHWARZ. Johann PATZER and Louisa ZIELKE had four children, Augusta, Johann Friedrich (b.1843), Louisa (b.1846) and Edward (b.1850), all born in Prussia. After Johann's death in Prussia his wife and all four children eventually came to Wisconsin. Johann Friedrich, my greatgrandfather, ran a tavern in Wausau, Wisconsin, and died in 1896. Augusta lived in Wausau, married Ed WEINKAUF, and had a number of children. I was told that one of the Weinkaufs did a family history, which I would like to know about. Any information or suggestions for research on this line would be appreciated. Ann Powers apowers@snet.net __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? SBC Yahoo!
