Hello, My name is Sandy and I am new to this list. This really is probably a long shot, but here is what I am looking for. John H. SCOTT b. about 1836/37 married Alice unknown. Alice was born in Indiana about 1855. In 1870, Federal Census the couple are living in Oregon Twp., Dane Co., WI with John's father, Horace M. SCOTT and John's siblings: Edward E. SCOTT and Almira (SCOTT) JEFFERS as well as her son Newton I. JEFFERS (My great grandfather). John is not to be found for 1860, however, Horace and Almira JEFFERS are in Beloit, Rock Co., WI in the house hold of Isaac N. JEFFERRS for 1860. Horace M. SCOTT b. about 1798, NY a botanical physician. Isaac Newton and Almira (SCOTT) JEFFERS being my great great grandparents. Per 1880 census, Beloit, Rock Co., WI Alice SCOTT b. 1855, Indiana which I mentioned earlier in this email both parent's born in Germany. I have searched common areas for Alice being 5 yrs old in 1850 with parent's being born in Germany and have never been able to find the info on Alice. My question is anyone missing an Alice or know of this Alice at all. Unfortunately, Alice probably passed away as John can be found in 1910 married to another woman, Marie M. b. abt. 1868 - Iowa. Also per 1880 census, John and Alice had one son, Edward SCOTT b. about 1875, Illinois.
