My ggrandfather Henry Otto Louis BROECKER, his brother Frederick William Theodore BROECKER and Fred's wife Bertha SCHROEDER departed Bremen Germany in April 1868 and arrived in New York City in May 1868 with their destination Wisconsin. They had lived in Pommerania. Very shortly they moved to the areas of Kankakee and Chicago IL. Is there any connection to your SCHROEDER. Hi Ed, There very well could be a connection through Bertha, but i sure don't know what it is. Do you know anything about Bertha Schroeder? Did she have siblings? The only other thing I know about my g g grandmother, Marie Schroeder Witt is that she had a brother, Christian. His son was Walter Schroeder who built the Schroeder hotel. if you know more about Bertha Schroeder I'd like to hear about her.
