HARTWICH MADISON/PRINCETON - Gerald "Jerry" R. Hartwich, 61, died unexpectedly on Feb. 24, 2003, at University Hospital, Madison. The funeral will be held on Thursday, Feb. 27, at 7 p.m., at Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N. Sherman Ave., Madison. The Rev. Al Braunschweig will officiate. Burial will be held in Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery, town of Trenton on Friday, Feb. 28, at 11 a.m. He was born on Dec. 12, 1941, in Madison, the son of Kenneth and Stella (Ryder) Hartwich. Survivors include two children, Kenneth Hartwich, Walton, Ind., and Samantha Hartwich, Terre Haute, Ind.; one granddaughter, Karen; four sisters, Janet (Ron) Browne, Cottage Grove, Kathryn Northrop, Sun Prairie, Robbie Hartwich, Las Vegas, Nev., and Mary Kay (Randy) Burden, Roswell, N.M.; one brother, Peter Hartwich, Roswell, N.M.; very special friend, Diane Lenzer, Madison; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Karen on Feb. 22, 1994. Friends ! may call on Thursday, Feb. 27, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N. Sherman Ave., Madison.
