    3. Hi The family names that I am researching in Wisconsin are Luick and Traub in Milwaukee County. There is conflicting info on where in Germany the Luicks originated, and Johan "Jacob" Traub (1821 - 1905) was born at Heilingen, Donau Kreis, Wurttemburg. Any information will be cherished. Sincerely, Clarine Andresen in Texas

    3. Hi Clarine, My great-great-great-grandfather Ludwig BELZER was married to a Maria Elizabeth TRAUB. They came from Hessen-Darmstadt in 1848 to Germantown, Washington Co.,WI and moved to Lomira, Dodge Co.,WI. Then after Maria's death, Ludwig moved to LaPorte City, Blackhawk Co. IA The reason I mention this is Germantown is very close to Milwaukee and family letters mention others from the area traveling there. Maria was born 2 Oct 1811. I have often wondered if any of her family came over with her or not.
