The limitations are that it is only a 20 year time span but, it works as I have found some loose ends! 1. [GERMANS-WI] Wisconsin Death Records HOW TO
    2. Bob Vircks
    3. I was successful in accessing the Wisconsin State Death Records suggested by Robert Lipprandt. I went to: http://www.vitalsearch-ca.com/gen/wi/_vitals/wideathm.htm and clicked on all the links for instructions and read them all and didn't understand. But eventually it dawned on me. This is long and detailed, but it will lead you step by step thru a process that is neither a highly automated search or very user friendly. Near the top of the opening page click on the word "here" below "1959-1979 Deaths". This should open an extra new window. At the bottom of this new window will be a box and a "Begin Search" button. To the left is a message that says "Enter your Surname here..." Click in the box at the left edge and type the surname that you are interested in and click begin search. This will get a new page. Click on "go to fiche". This will bring up a grid of 207 selectable virtual fiche pages. Now click on the tiny "idx" to the left of "01" and above "B". The brings up a new page that is a list of the first surname on each fiche page. Now figure out where your surname fits in this list and and look at the letter and number code to the right of the name that is just before your surname. Remember this code, for example, "M 04". Now press your browser's "Back" button to get back to that grid. Finally click on the "*" in the appropriate square and an image of a fiche page will appear that should have the surname that you are looking for on it. Ugly, but it works. By the way I was unable to print the page. I had to hand copy the information. Good luck. Bob Vircks
