I aM searching for information on my Greatgrand parents, Martin BORCHARDT and Johannah Dorothea Wilhemina GILDEMEISTER from Greifenberg, Germany. Settled in Rome, Jefferson County, WI abt. 1865. Martin died 1883, Johannah 1924. They had the following children all born in WI : Charles BORCHARDT Augusta Johannah W. BORCHARDT, b. 1872, m. Marcus NICHOLS (12 children) Amiela BORCHARDT Anne BORCHARDT Fredeckei BORCHARDT William BORCHARDT Herman BORCHARDT After the death of Martin, Johannah married Carl MOOTS in 1886. Carl died in 1894. There were no children of this marriage. Any information on any of the BORCHARDTS or NICHOLS would be greatly appreciated, I just can not seem to get any place with this search.
