Hi Karen--I went to Ancestry.com and did a search for Wilhelmine Witt in the Wisconsin Birth Index 1820-1907. There are two matches. I'm not a subscriber, but someone else on the list probably is and can look these up to see if either one is yours. At least then you'll know the county she was born in. I get Germans-WI in digest, so I don't know if someone else has already given you this advice. Good luck! Does anyone know if there was a town in Germany called Kiel? My Ernst Schild supposedly came from Kiel according to the ship's manifest on the Ellis Island site. glenda meyers -----Original Message----- From: c lindau [mailto:clindau@mninter.net] Sent: Saturday, November 30, 2002 10:57 PM To: GERMANS-WI-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [GERMANS-WI] re: KIEL, WITT in Milwaukee Hi Karen--I went to Ancestry.com and did a search for Wilhelmine Witt in the Wisconsin Birth Index 1820-1907.
