Date: Sat, 6 Mar 2004 09:42:02 -0600 Greetings, "The Story Lady" of San Diego, was Emma "Emmie" Les Tina (Lestina) née Falkenberg. She was a well know California Radio-TV personality in the late 1940s to early 1950s. In 1943 she and her daughter, Dorothy author of "Icicles on the Roof" were the first mother-daughter pair to join the WAC. Emma (lived 08 September I898 to 05 December 1959) and Dorothy were my aunt and cousin. Emma wahusband was Frank J. (lived 10 October 1894 to18 February 1968). It would gladden my heart to hear from and receive information and photos from anyone who had listen to Emmie's , knew her and her family, and are relatives. Also, would appreciate any obituary, in memoriam, article and directory look-ups.
