Am trying to find the way west of my husbands GGrandfather Mathias Glaser. Family lore says he left Buffalo in 1848 and stayed in St. Louis until 1852 when he moved on to the gold fields in California. Any way I can find him in St. Louis in this time period? Thanks, Jane Glaser
