    3. Interesting to try to find this on google.com. There's some info on the Prussian military at: http://216.239.53.104/search?q=cache:xLCTQWxXiCoJ:web2.iadfw.net/napoleo n/prussians.htm+11th+hussaren&hl=en&ie=UTF-8 or at least that's the URL that came up after the search. Prussian military history site in German at: http://www.grosser-generalstab.de/ Has an interesting picture of hussaren (that's the German plural of "hussar". I may have found something: http://www.bogenschneider.org/military_records.htm This site has the following, available from the LDS: Von Lyncker, Alexander. Die preussischer Armee, 1807-1867 und ihre sippenkundlichen Quellen. 372 pages. 3-7686-3028-5. Verlag Degener & Co., Nuernberger Str. 27 D-91413 Neustadt/Aisch, Germany. Contains information on all Prussian regiments, their participation in battles, the places of the church records, the garrisons, area of recruitment, etc. It's in German, of course, but looks like it might contain what you want. Here's another source from that page: Deutsches Staatsarchiv, Archivstrasse 12-14, D-14195 Berlin. Write for military records before 1867. Is there anyone out there who knows anything about the Prussian military? My gg-grandfather, Theodore Becker was a member of the 11th Husarens, Reg. #6. I have his military pipe and it says Dusseldorf 1853 which would have made him 24 years of age. I took the pipe to a military show and they said the man on the horse was my grandfather. His uniform was green with orange trim. On the pipe he was after men who were in blue uniforms with the spike helmets. He sold his commission and came to America sometime between 1863 to 1866. He lived in St. Louis until his death from an industrial accident in 1881. He was only 50. He is buried in Calvary Cemetery. Any information is greatly appreciated.
