Thank you Gary. But family sounds like they did it backwards they came to New York 1849 went to Chicago then to Milwaukee and the into St. Louis. My Grand father George was born in there in 1850 in1855 they came to California My grandfather Jacob his brother Leonard and son William came by wagon Anna Maria and the kids came by ship around the horn.
